Glenda Needs is an experienced and highly regarded Australian Art therapist who is also an inspiring teacher and great communicator.
She has created a much needed definitive text book for all Art Therapists and Art Therapy students to use and refer to on a regular basis.
It is full of valuable and interesting information, with many examples of different approaches and experientials which make it a practical 'hands on' resource rather than just another theoretical treatise on Art Therapy.
I would highly recommend this book to both newcomers to Art Therapy and experienced practioners alike.
Glenda Needs has created an accessible, easy to understand book which encompasses the science underpinning Art Therapy, along with experiential tasks to explore the concepts presented. Foundation and Form will give you a fascinating insight to case studies, how a Therapist may respond within a session and the importance of healing with the Arts. I found Glenda's Art Therapy Foundation and Form to be a very useful tool for my kit.
